Use PowerPoint 2007 to open or save a presentation in another file format

Use PowerPoint 2007 to open or save a presentation in another file format

Important:

  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 does not support saving to PowerPoint 95 and earlier file formats.

  • If you save your Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation to an earlier version of PowerPoint file format, formatting and features that are unique to Office PowerPoint 2007 may not be retained.

  • When opening or saving documents in the Open Document Presentation (.odp) format, some formatting might be lost and the behavior of some features might be limited or not available. For a list of supported features in the Open Document format, see Supported features in OpenDocument presentation (.odp) format.

  1. In Office PowerPoint 2007, open the presentation that you want to save in a different file format.

  2. Click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image , and then click Save As.

  3. In the File name box, enter a new name for the presentation, or do nothing to accept the suggested file name.

  4. In the Save as type list, select the file format that you want, and then click Save.

For more information about how to select a file format, see File formats that are supported in PowerPoint.
