Unlink shapes from data in the External Data window

The External Data window appears when you use the Link Data to Shapes command on the Data menu to import data into your drawing.

Unlink rows from shapes

  1. In the External Data window, select the row or rows that you want to unlink.

    Note: To display the External Data window, on the View menu, click External Data Window.

  2. Right-click any of the selected rows, and then click Unlink.

Unlink shapes from rows

  1. In your drawing, select the shape or shapes that you want to unlink.

  2. Right-click any of the selected shapes, point to Data, and then click Unlink from Row.
