Start new tasks on the current date

Microsoft Office Project 2007 starts new tasks on the project start date by default. You can, however, specify that new tasks start on the current date instead of the project start date.

1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Schedule tab.

2. In the Scheduling options section, select Start on Current Date from the New tasks list.
