Enterprise Base Calendar (resource field)

Enterprise Base Calendar (resource field)

Data Type    Yes/No

Entry Type    Calculated

Description    For enterprise resources, a base calendar is selected from those available in the enterprise global template. However, if non-enterprise base calendars are allowed for the projects in Microsoft Office Project Server, the project manager can create a non-enterprise base calendar to use for special situations as needed. The Enterprise Base Calendar field indicates whether the resource is assigned to a base calendar from the enterprise global template.

How Calculated    If a resource is assigned to a base calendar that exists in the enterprise global template, this field contains Yes. If a resource is assigned to a base calendar that was created in the project, the Enterprise Base Calendar field contains No.

Best Uses    Add the Enterprise Base Calendar field to a resource view if you're using a mix of enterprise base calendars and non-enterprise base calendars, and you need to see which resources are assigned to which calendar types. You can also use this field with Visual Basic for Applications to validate resources as they're brought into the enterprise.

Example    In the Resource Sheet, you want to see only those resources that are using a base calendar that exists in the enterprise global template. In the Filter Definition dialog box, you filter for all resources whose Enterprise Base Calendar field is equal to Yes.

Remarks    It's recommended that organizations use a naming convention for enterprise base calendars so that they can be easily distinguished from non-enterprise base calendars.
