Manage notebook sync settings in OneNote for Windows 8

By default, OneNote for Windows 8 syncs all of your notebooks automatically. If you prefer to manually sync your notebook changes for any reason, you can turn off automatic syncing.

1. On any page, swipe from the right edge of the screen to the left.

2. Tap Settings > Options.

3. Under Sync notebooks automatically, choose whether or not OneNote should automatically sync your notes. If you set this option to Off, make sure you manually sync from time to time, especially after you've made important changes to your notebooks.
