Indicate object flow in an activity diagram

Indicate object flow in an activity diagram

  1. In an activity diagram, drag the Object In State shape onto the drawing page.

  2. Double-click the Object In State shape to add a name and other property values.

  3. Use an Object Flow shape to connect the Object In State shape to the Control Flow, Action State, or State shape that the object is an output from. Glue the Object Flow endpoint (with an arrowhead) to a connection point Connection point image - blue X on the Object In State shape and glue the other endpoint to a connection point on the Control Flow, Action State, or State shape.

  4. Use an Object Flow shape to connect the Object In State shape to the Control Flow, Action State, or State shape that the object inputs to. Glue the endpoint of the Object Flow shape with an arrowhead to a connection point on the Control Flow, Action State, or State shape and glue the other endpoint to a connection point on the Object In State shape.

  5. Double-click the Object Flow shape to add a name, actions, and other property values.
