Click to use IDEF1X symbols.

To use Crow's Foot notation, click the Relationship tab, and select the Crow's Feet check box.

To use UML cardinality notation, on the General tab, click Relational. Then, on the Relationship tab, clear the Crow's Feet check box and select the Cardinality check box.

Relational

Click to use physical schema symbols.

Conceptual names

Click to display the conceptual name for a database object―as specified in the Database Properties window―for each entity or relationship.

Physical names

Click to display the physical name for a database object―as specified in the Database Properties window―for each entity or relationship.

Both

Click to display the physical and conceptual names for a database object―as specified in the Database Properties window―for each entity or relationship.

Based on symbol set

For models that use IDEF1X notation, click to display the conceptual name for a database object―as specified in the Database Properties window―for each entity or relationship.

For models that use Relational notation, click to display the physical name for a database object―as specified in the Database Properties window―for each entity or relationship.

Defaults

Click to make the current settings the default settings for the document (Set As), or to reset the default settings to those last set for the document (Restore) or to the Microsoft Office Visio defaults (Restore Original).
