Start a new UML system model

• On the File menu, point to New, then point to Software, and then click UML Model Diagram.

• By default, you open a modeling environment that includes the Model Explorer, a group of stencils, and a drawing page. The tree view window of the Model Explorer includes icons arranged in a tree view. The icons represent the UML elements and the views (or diagrams) in your model.
