View the financial history and financial summary of an Account record in Business Contact Manager

View the financial history and financial summary of an Account record in Business Contact Manager

When your accounting system and Business Contact Manager for Outlook are integrated, you can view a list of transactions and the financial overview of an Account.

The financial history includes the date, type, and amount of a transaction.

The financial summary includes your customer's balance and payment information, a sales summary, and other financial details about the Account.

This financial information remains in your accounting system, not in Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

  1. If you have not already done so, integrate your accounting system with Business Contact Manager for Outlook. For more information about how to integrate your accounting system and Business Contact Manager for Outlook, see Help in your accounting system.

  2. On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Accounts.

  3. Double-click the Account record.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • To view the financial history, in the Show group, click Financial History. You can also edit the transaction record listed in the financial history. For more information about editing transactions, see Help in your accounting system.

    • To view the financial summary, in the Show group, click Financial Summary.

  5. Click Save & Close.

    Notes:

    • The preceding features may not be available with your accounting system. For more information, see Help in your accounting system.

    • The locale settings on the computer running Business Contact Manager for Outlook determine the currency symbols that are displayed for it. If your accounting system is configured to use a different currency symbol (or currency code) than the computer where Business Contact Manager for Outlook is installed, these two systems can display different currency symbols.

Change the locale settings on the computer running Business Contact Manager for Outlook to match the currency setting in your accounting system by double-clicking Regional and Language Options in Control Panel, and then clicking the setting that matches the currency symbol in your accounting system.
