Some organizations enable meeting compliance because they are required to store the content of all communications for regulatory compliance. Those types of organizations typically also configure meeting compliance in such a way that meetings hosted on their Office Communications Servers shut down when the content of those meetings cannot be archived to the meeting compliance folder. Configuring the servers to shut down prevents meeting content from being presented without being archived.

For details, see the Operations section of the Office Communications Server Technical Library.
