Use Office 365 email on your Windows RT device
Windows RT devices, such as Surface RT, come with Office Home and Student 2013, which you can use with Office 365. Office Home and Student 2013 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Since you can only install apps from the Windows Store on your Windows RT device, you cannot install the version of Office that comes with Office 365. You can, however, still get to your email and access team sites by using the Office 365 portal. You can also use the Windows RT apps for email, contacts, your calendar, and messaging.
What do you want to do?
Sign in to the Office 365 portal
From your browser, go to the Office 365 portal, and then sign in by using your Office 365 user ID and password.
Access your email, calendar, and contacts
You can begin using email, calendar, and contacts right away with Outlook Web App, or you can set up your Windows RT apps to work with Office 365.
Use Outlook Web App
After you've signed in to the Office 365 portal, use Outlook Web App to access your email, calendar, and contacts. Click Outlook, Calendar, or Peopleat the top of the page. For information about how to use Outlook Web App in Office 365, see Start using Outlook Web App for email and calendars.
