Location Settings

Location Settings

Use the Locations Settings dialog box to set the performance counter threshold settings for the selected location. These thresholds are used by the Monitoring Server Management Pack to determine when warning and error alerts should be fired because of degraded media quality at the network location. If you are not using the Monitoring Server Management Pack for near real-time monitoring of media quality, you do not need to make any configuration changes on this dialog box.

Settings

There are two threshold options. For each location, click one of the following:

Apply Default Thresholds. Applies the default settings for the warning level, error level, and minimum call volume for each performance counter that is being monitored.

Apply Custom Thresholds. Customizes the warning level, error level, and minimum call volume for each performance counter that is being monitored. Click the performance counter to be customized, and click Edit Thresholds. You can then edit the threshold settings for each performance counter.
