Keyboard shortcuts in Business Contact Manager

A keyboard shortcut is any combination of keystrokes that can be used to perform a task that would otherwise require a mouse or other pointing device.

The following list shows keyboard shortcuts for Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

Notes:

Use the Business Contact Manager menu

ALT+O

Open the Business Contact Manager menu.

ALT+O+U

Open the Accounts folder.

ALT+O+B

Open the Business Contacts folder.

ALT+O+O

Open the Opportunities folder.

ALT+O+P

Open the Business Projects folder.

ALT+O+T

Open the Project Tasks folder.

ALT+O+C

Open the Marketing Campaigns folder.

ALT+O+H

Open the Communication History folder.

ALT+O+R

Open the Reports menu. To select and run an Accounts report, press ENTER+DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+A

Run an Accounts report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+C

Run an Activity report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+B

Run an Business Contacts report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+L

Run a Leads report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+O

Run an Opportunities report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+P

Run a Business Projects report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+M

Run a Marketing Campaigns report. To select and run one of the reports, press DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+R+S

Open a saved report.

ALT+O+R+F

Open the Financial Reports dialog box to select the report group and type of report to open.

Note: This option is available only when your accounting system is integrated with Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

ALT+O+A

If you have not yet connected Business Contact Manager for Outlook to your accounting system, press ENTER to open the Set Up Connection to Accounting System wizard. If Business Contact Manager for Outlook is connected to your accounting system, and you want to disconnect your accounting system, press ENTER to open a Business Contact Manager confirmation message.

ALT+O+A+S

Open the Submit Billable Time dialog box to submit billable time to your accounting system.

Note: This option is available only when your accounting system is integrated with Business Contact Manager for Outlook .

ALT+O+E

Open the Manage E-Mail Auto-Linking dialog box to change your settings for linking e-mail messages.

ALT+E, then E+ENTER

Open the E-mail Auto-link button.

ALT+O+D

Open the Database Tools menu.

To open the Share Database wizard, press ENTER.

ALT+O+D+D

Open the Share Database wizard.

ALT+O+D+M

Open the Manage Database wizard.

ALT+O+D+C

Open the Create or Select a Business Contact Manager Database wizard.

ALT+O+D+T

Open the Business Data Import and Export wizard.

ALT+O+F

Select offline options. To select one of the options, press TAB+DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

Note: The offline options are available only if you are working with a shared database.

ALT+O+F+W

Use an offline copy of the Business Contact Manager database on your portable computer.

ALT+O+F+O

Enable or disable an offline database.

ALT+O+F+S

Open the Offline Settings dialog box.

ALT+O+F+D

Stop using the copy of the offline database.

ALT+O+Z

Customize forms with user-defined fields or by editing Field Value lists. To open one of the Manage User-Defined Fields options, press ENTER+DOWN ARROW+ENTER.

ALT+O+Z+M+A

Open the Account - Manage User-Defined Fields dialog box.

ALT+O+Z+M+B

Open the Business Contact - Manage User-Defined Fields dialog box.

ALT+O+Z+M+O

Open the Opportunity - Manage User-Defined Fields dialog box.

ALT+O+Z+M+P

Open the Business Project - Manage User-Defined Fields dialog box.

ALT+O+Z+L

Open the Edit Lists dialog box to edit a Field Value list.

ALT+O+I

Open the Product and Service Items List dialog box to change your product and service items.

Create a new Account, Business Contact, Opportunity, Business Project, Project Task, or Marketing Campaign.

ALT+O+U, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Accounts folder and create a new Account record.

ALT+O+B, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Business Contacts folder and create a new Business Contact record.

ALT+O+O, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Opportunities folder and create a new Opportunity record.

ALT+O+P, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Business Projects folder and create a new Business Project record.

ALT+O+T, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Project Tasks folder and create a new Project Task record.

ALT+O+C, then ALT+N+ENTER

Open the Marketing Campaigns folder and create a new Marketing Campaign record.

Use the Help menu

ALT+H

Open the Help menu.

ALT+H+S

Check for security updates by using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer.

ALT+H+H, or F1

Open Microsoft Office Outlook Help.

ALT+H+B+ENTER

Open Business Contact Manager for Outlook Help.

Navigate through the Ribbon, which is part of the Microsoft Office Fluent user interface

ALT+ARROW KEYS

Use the arrow keys to navigate among items on the Ribbon, and then press ENTER to select an item. For example, in an e-mail message, to link it to one or more records in Business Contact Manager for Outlook, press ALT+DOWN ARROW+RIGHT ARROW to select Link to Record, and then press ENTER.
