Print a chart on a full page

When you create a chart, it is automatically inserted on the same sheet as the associated data. If you are only interested in the image of the chart, you can place the chart on a new sheet and then print just the chart.

  1. Click the chart that you want to print.

  2. On the Chart Design tab, click Move Chart.

  3. In the Move Chart dialog box, select New sheet, and click OK.

    Tip: To add titles, set axis options, add error bars, and other formatting, click the Chart Design tab. To try different styles, fonts, and effects, click the Format tab.

  4. On the File menu, click Print.

  1. Click the chart that you want to print.

  2. Next to the sheet tabs at the bottom of the window, hold down CONTROL and click the plus sign New sheet tab and then click Insert Chart Sheet.

    Excel automatically assigns a name to the chart. For example, the first chart sheet in a workbook is called Chart1, the second, Chart2, and so on. To see the chart, click the new sheet.
