About running your account with earlier releases of SharePoint Workspace

If you have upgraded to SharePoint Workspace 2010 from an earlier release such as Microsoft Office Groove 2007, and you are running your account on multiple computers, you must update to SharePoint Workspace 2010 on all of your computers.

Microsoft does not support synchronizing account data across multiple computers if different versions of the SharePoint Workspace software are installed on different computers.

However, Microsoft fully supports interacting with users running earlier releases. For example, you can do workspace activities with users who are running Groove 2007. Additionally, Groove 2007 users can invite you to new workspaces. You can similarly invite Groove 2007 users to new workspaces, provided you select "2007" as the workspace version when you create the workspace.
