New Event Type dialog box

Use the New Event Type dialog box to choose the type of event you want to create.

Event Type

Choose the type of event you want.

  • Call Event  Occurs when an element receives a call for an operation. When you choose this option, and then click OK, three categories appear where you can set property values for the event: Call Event, Constraints, and Tagged Values.

  • Signal Event  Occurs when an element receives an explicit signal from another element. When you choose this option, and then click OK, three categories appear where you can set property values for the event: Signal Event, Constraints, and Tagged Values.

  • Change Event  Occurs when a designated condition (usually described as a Boolean operation) becomes true. When you choose this option, and then click OK, three categories appear where you can set property values for the event: Change Event, Constraints, and Tagged Values.

  • Time Event  Occurs after a designated period of time or at a specific time or date. When you choose this option, and then click OK, three categories appear where you can set property values for the event: Time Event, Constraints, and Tagged Values.
