Set attribute visibility between two UML elements

  1. Create icons representing two classifiers in the tree view or drag shapes representing the two classifiers onto a drawing page.

  2. Double-click the icon or shape for the classifier that will be able to see or reference the other.

  3. Click Attributes, click New, and then click Properties.

  4. Type a name for the attribute.

  5. Under Type Expression, for Type, choose the classifier that the first classifier will reference. Type values for Prefix and Suffix if you want to fully represent the attribute type.

  6. Under Visibility, choose the type of visibility you want.

  7. Click OK, and then click OK again.
