Access Edge Server

Access Edge Server

Use this dialog box to configure the settings for the external and internal interface of the Access Edge Server.

External IP address

The IP address used by the external interface of the Access Edge Server.

FQDN

The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the external interface of the Access Edge Server.

External ports

The ports used for the external interface of the Access Edge Server.

Federation port

The port used for federation on the external interface. The federation port is 5061 and cannot be changed. External servers and federated users connect through this port.

Remote access port

The port used for remote user access. The default port is 443. Remote users connect through this port.

Internal ports

The port used for the internal interface of the Access Edge Server.

SIP port

The port used by internal servers to send outbound Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traffic.

Important:  If you change this port setting, make a corresponding change to the appropriate settings in the Office Communications Server Administrative Tools snap-in:

  • If you are using a Director, make a corresponding change on the Director by using the Federation tab of Front End Properties of the pool node.

  • If all servers are connecting directly to the Access Edge Server, make a corresponding change by using the Federation tab of Global Properties of the forest node.

Certificate for this IP address

The certificate associated with external interface.

Select certificate

Click to assign a certificate to the external interface of the Access Edge Server.

Note: You can also use the Certificate Wizard to guide you through the process of configuring the certificate, including assigning the certificate to the external interface of the Access Edge Server.
