Overtime work fields

The Overtime Work field contains the amount of overtime scheduled to be performed by all resources assigned to a task, for all tasks assigned to a resource, or by a resource on a task, and charged at the overtime rates of the resources involved. The timephased versions of these fields show values distributed over time.

There are several categories of Overtime Work fields.

Data Type    Duration

Overtime Work (task field)

Entry Type    Calculated

How Calculated    When a task is first created, the Overtime Work field shows "0 hrs." When you enter scheduled overtime work in the sheet portion of the Task Usage or Resource Usage view for the assignment, Microsoft Office Project rolls up these overtime work hours and enters the total overtime work for the task into this field.

Best Uses    Add the Overtime Work field to a task sheet to review or filter for scheduled overtime on a task.

Example    The "Write proposal" task has a five-day duration with 40 hours of work assigned to Chris alone. You want to shorten the duration, but there are no other resources to assign to the task. You add eight hours of overtime work to the assignment. There are still 40 hours of work, but the duration is now four days, with eight hours of overtime work spread across the task.

Remarks    You can edit overtime work in the Overtime Work assignment field in the sheet portion of the Task Usage or Resource Usage view. You can also edit overtime work in the Work view of the Task Form or Resource Form.

Overtime Work (resource field)

Entry Type    Calculated

How Calculated    When a resource is first added, the Overtime Work field shows "0  hrs." As overtime work is scheduled in the sheet portion of the Task Usage or Resource Usage view for the resource's various assignments, Microsoft Office Project rolls up these overtime work hours and enters the total overtime work for the resource into this field.

Best Uses    Add the Overtime Work field to any resource sheet to display or filter for overtime work for a resource.

Example    Your team is scheduled to work a lot of overtime in the next three months. You want to gather data to justify hiring temporary staff to help with the project. You add the Overtime Work field to the Resource Sheet view to review the amount of scheduled overtime for the resources.

Remarks    You can edit overtime work in the Overtime Work assignment field and not in the Overtime Work resource or task fields. You can also edit overtime work in the Work view of the Task Form or Resource Form.

Overtime Work (assignment field)

Entry Type    Entered

Best Uses    Assign overtime work on an assignment to shorten task duration. Add the Overtime Work field to the sheet portion of the Task Usage or Resource Usage view, and then edit the Overtime Work field for the assignment.

Example    The "Write proposal" task has a five-day duration, with 40 hours of work assigned to Chris alone. You want to shorten the duration, but there are no other resources to assign to the task. You specify eight hours of overtime work to the assignment. There are still 40 hours of work, but the duration is now four days, with eight hours of overtime work spread over the new duration of the task.

Remarks    You can edit total overtime work in the Overtime Work assignment field in the sheet portion of the Task Usage or Resource Usage view. You can also edit overtime work in the Work view of the Task Form or Resource Form.

  1. Special thanks to HACK VANISH, a professional hacker I’ve been hiring for the past 2 years because, I find him to be an outstanding hacker who has aided me in various hacking related issues, ranging from fixing my poor FICO credit score of about 437 TransUnion, 462 Equifax to 802 plus excellent score, tracking my cheating husband’s phone and currently has helped me recover my lost crypto funds from an online scam investment I recently ventured into, I must confess he is the best, quite brilliant, ever since I discovered him through a positive review I saw on Wallet Hub and reached out to him via Email: Hackvanish @ Gmail. com, and Phone: +1(747) 293-8514, to which he responded in less than 10mins, I have never regretted working with him, he’s been quite helpful and highly efficient. I Would recommend his services to anyone without hesitation.

  2. Hello everyone I want to sincerely appreciate PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST for the dedication and time they put on working my credit. I needed help. My FICO mortgage scores were 510, 518, 557. All my FICO 8s are between 600-626. All credit cards, student loans, and a car have been paid on time for the last 4 years, with the exception of 1 late payment to Capital One and they will not budge to remove it. I have 6 old Cos that will fall off in 2025, and I have a collection from Jefferson Capital for $5400 for a car that was turned in back in 2018. I have disputed all these items several times with no luck. When I asked for proof that Jefferson legally had the right to collect this debt, since I had also received notices in the mail from 3 other collection agencies for the same debt. Each time all I got in response from the bureaus was a statement that the information was validated. I desperately needed help to raise my FICO 5, 4, and 2 ASAP. Until I read about PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST, I contacted them after reading some testimonies about them. They ran my credit report, analysed the credit score and determined which action will have the greatest impact. They raised my credit score to 806 and deleted all negative items on my credit report within 6 days. They made it work and I have a clean credit profile now. My heart is full of gratitude. You can reach them by email: PINNACLECREDITSPECIALIST@GMAIL.COM
