Students are able to see other student s class notebook

If you experience issues where students have access to the private student spaces of other students in Class Notebook, they may have permissions issues. This can happen as a result of permissions changes in Microsoft Teams.

When you change a student from a member to an owner in Microsoft Teams, they gain full access to all Class Notebook sections. Attempting to change the student back to a member will create a new student space for that student. It also gives them access to the Collaboration Space and Content Library and their own student sections.

Because Class Notebooks created in Microsoft Teams inherit permissions from the class team, we don't recommending changing the permissions of students in class teams.
