Show the names in a contact group

Show the names in a contact group

Sometimes you want to know who is in a contact group, which was called a distribution list in previous versions of Outlook. For example, you might want to make sure the list includes the right people for a specific project.

No problem. Just double-click the contact group to view the names of the people who are part of it.

Tip:  It doesn't matter if you double click the contact group in your list of contacts in People, or in the To or CC box of an email.

Double click the contact group to see all the names

Double click the contact group to see a list of names

A window opens showing you a list of all the names in that contact group.

Double-clicking the contact group opens the list of members

If you need to, you can then add people or remove people from your contact group.
