Read files offline in OneDrive for Android
Mark files or folders "offline" in OneDrive for Android to read them anytime, even when you aren't connected to the Internet. Online edits made to the files sync the next time your Android device connects to the Web, so you get the latest version of the file.
Notes:
-
Files marked offline are read-only - you can edit the file only when you're online. If you edit the file offline, your changes will be saved as a new file, and will not change the original OneDrive file.
-
Taking folders offline is currently a Premium OneDrive feature available on Android devices with a subscription to Office 365 Personal, Office 365 Home, or an Office 365 business plan.
-
In the OneDrive app, select the files or folders that you want available for offline reading, then tap the Keep offline "parachute" icon.
-
Files marked for offline reading have the Keep offline "parachute" icon in the List view. Double-tap the file listing anytime to open the file for reading.
Tips:
-
Once you mark a file offline, OneDrive also lists it in an Offline view, so you can instantly find all your offline files.
-
To stop keeping a file offline, select the offline file, then tap Online only.
