Watermark workflow: Add, edit and remove watermarks
In Microsoft Publisher 2010, you can simulate the translucence of a traditional watermark by adding text or images to the background of all or some pages in your publication. This article is a roadmap for the workflow for adding watermarks to your publication.
In this article
Add text as a watermark
You can quickly add text watermarks, such as DRAFT or INTERNAL USE ONLY to all pages of a publication using the technique shown in this section of Add a watermark that appears on every page.
To add a watermark to a specific page read Add a watermark that appears on every page.
Add an image as a watermark
Images, sized from small to full-page, serve as effective backgrounds for text when the text color contrasts consistently with the image's colors. You can use a picture, clip art, or other image, such as a company logo. First, you add a frame to the page. Then you insert the image into the frame. Finally, you format the image. For all the steps see Add a watermark that appears on every page.
To add a watermark to a specific page read Add a watermark that appears on every page.
Add WordArt as a watermark
The process for adding a WordArt watermark is similar to the process for adding text as a watermark to your publication, the steps are shown in Add a watermark that appears on every page.
To add a watermark to a specific page read Add a watermark that appears on every page.
Remove a watermark
Removing a watermark is as simple as selecting and deleting the text, image, or WordArt being used as the watermark.
To delete a watermark that appears on every page of your publication:
-
On the Page Design tab, click Master Pages, point to the name of the master page that contains the watermark, and then click Edit Master Pages.
-
Click on the text or image and press Delete.
