Can I add a border to text in Word Online?

If you've added borders around text in a document you created with the Word desktop app, Word Online will preserve them. Unfortunately, you can't edit, delete, or add new borders to text in Word Online.

One potential workaround is to insert a table that contains only one cell, then paste or type your text into that cell.

Or, if you own the desktop version of Word, you can use it to add borders to your text. If not, you can try or buy the latest version of Office now.
