ISSUE

When you try to copy a sheet within the same workbook it moves the sheet instead of creating a duplicate sheet.

This is a bug that is in the Excel 2016 (16.0.4229.1002) preview version. This was fixed in the formally released (RTM) versions. There are no plans to fix this in the preview version.

STATUS: FIXED

To fix this issue, do the following:

  1. Uninstall the preview version of Office. Go to Control Panel and Program and Features, right-click your Office product, and choose Uninstall. For more information, go to Uninstall Office from a PC.

  2. Install a released version (RTM) of Office. Go to the Volume Licensing Service Center and install Office Professional Plus 2016, or your standalone Office applications.

  3. Turn on automatic updates. You can also check for the latest Public Update in Office Updates, to get additional information on other install methods.
