What s new in yammer

This desktop release fixes an issue for the macOS in which the app wouldn't launch after the This app cannot be checked for malicious software error was displayed.

May 12, 2020, version 3.4.6

A patch to fix an issue for macOS Catalina in which some customers experienced a black screen in some communities on Yammer Desktop has been released. The patch upgrades Electron from version 3.4.5 to 4.2.12. This issue occurred in some Yammer communities that have UI components that were affected.

Security and bug fixes

We recommend that all users update to this version.

The security fixes are for CVE 2018-8569, and improve how the app works with trusted content and restricts access to loaded content. For more information about security updates, see the Security Update Guide.

A new version of the framework includes bug fixes.

Releases containing significant bug fixes and new features are listed below. Other releases contain small bug fixes and performance improvements. For the best Yammer experience, we recommend using the current version. The current release is 7.78.0.

  • Fixed an issue where link attachments were not being displayed after posting a message.

  • The group feed now appears with the correct animation when opening it from the Yammer widget.

  • Fixed an issue where deleting an attachment from a post would show a spinner forever.
