Change the default time unit for work
In Microsoft Office Project, the default time unit for work is hours, but you can change it to be minutes, days, weeks, or months:

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Schedule tab.

In the Work is entered in list, click the time unit that you want.

To use the same setting automatically in all future projects, click Set as Default.
Change other task and work defaults
