Work with Microsoft SharePoint contacts

You can connect to Microsoft SharePoint contacts, make changes, and have those changes automatically synchronized back to the SharePoint site.

Add SharePoint contacts to Outlook 2010

  1. In your Web browser, open a SharePoint contacts list.

  2. Click Actions, and then click Open in Outlook.

  3. When prompted to connect the SharePoint contacts to Outlook, click OK.

    In Outlook 2010, the contacts are added under Other Contacts in Contacts, in the Navigation Pane.

Remove SharePoint contacts from Outlook 2010

  1. In Contacts, in the Navigation Pane, under Other Contacts, click the contacts folder that you want to remove.

  2. On the Folder tab, in the Actions group, click Delete Folder.

  3. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

    Note: This procedure removes the contacts only from Outlook, not from the SharePoint site.
