Insert a picture in Microsoft OneNote
In Microsoft OneNote, adding pictures can add visual flair to your notes or help you capture and keep relevant information together, such as photos of receipts that you'll need for expense reports or personal budgeting.
iPad
Insert a picture from a photo album-
On any page, tap where you want to insert a picture, and then tap Insert > Pictures.

On the menu that appears, tap Camera Roll (or any other album containing the pictures you want to insert), and then tap the picture you want.
Note: If you need to crop the selected picture before inserting it in your notes, see Crop a picture in Microsoft OneNote.

Tap the check mark icon in the lower right corner to insert the selected picture in your notes. If you changed your mind and don't want to insert the selected picture, tap the Back arrow in the lower left corner.

On any page, tap where you want to insert a picture, and then tap Insert > Camera.

Depending on what you're capturing, select Whiteboard, Photo, or Document at the bottom of the screen, and then tap the purple button to take the picture.

Tap the check mark icon in the lower right corner to insert the selected picture in your notes. If you changed your mind and don't want to insert the selected picture, tap the Back arrow in the lower left corner.
iPhone
Insert a picture from a photo album-
On any page, tap where you want to insert a picture, and then tap the Camera icon on the toolbar that appears.

Tap the Hide Keyboard button at the far right of the toolbar, and then select From Library.

On the menu that appears, tap Camera Roll (or any other album containing the pictures you want to insert), and then tap the picture you want.

Tap the check mark icon in the upper right corner to insert the selected picture in your notes. If you changed your mind and don't want to insert the selected picture, tap the Back arrow in the upper left corner.
