Show the Developer tab in Word 2016 for Mac
The Developer tab is not displayed by default, but you can add it to the ribbon when you want to do the following:
-
Write macros.
-
Run macros that you previously recorded.
-
Use ActiveX controls.
-
Create applications to use with Microsoft Office programs.
-
Add content controls, including check boxes, text boxes, and combo boxes.
-
Create forms to share with other users.
Show the Developer tab
-
On the Word menu, click Preferences.
-
Under Authoring and Proofing Tools, click View.
-
Under Ribbon, check the Show developer tab box.
After you show the tab, it stays visible, unless you clear the check box or have to reinstall a Microsoft Office program.
