Join or leave a shared note taking session

Do one of the following:

Join a shared session

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Shared Session, and then click Join Shared Session.

  2. In the Shared Session Address box in the Join Shared Session task pane, type the IP address of the session host's computer.

  3. If a password is required in order to join the session, in the Session Password box, type the password.

  4. Click Join Session.

    Note: Contact the session host if you require a password to join the shared note-taking session.

Leave a shared session

  • In the Current Shared Session task pane, click Leave Shared Session.

    Note: Closing the Shared Session task pane will not end the session.

Note: Some of the features or functionality described in this topic are available only with Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1 or later versions.
