View the same rss feeds in internet explorer and outlook

When you use Windows Internet Explorer 9 or later and Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016, you can view and maintain the same RSS Feeds subscriptions list in either program. You do so by sharing one RSS Feeds subscription list via the Common Feed List in Microsoft Windows.

The Common Feed List is used by programs such as Outlook and Internet Explorer as a common location for RSS Feeds information. When you add an RSS Feed to any program that uses the Common Feed List, that RSS Feed is available in all programs automatically. If an RSS Feed is deleted from the Common Feed List, it will also be removed from Outlook.

Note: Deleting an RSS Feed in Outlook does not remove the RSS Feed from the Common Feed List or other programs using the Common Feed List.

The first time you add an RSS Feed to Outlook, you are prompted to choose whether you want to keep your RSS Feeds subscriptions list synchronized between Outlook and the Common Feed List. Regardless of the option you choose, you can change your choice later.

  1. Click the File tab.

  2. Click Options.

  3. Click Advanced.

  4. Under RSS Feeds, select or clear the Synchronize RSS Feeds to the Common Feed List (CFL) in Windows check box.

the RSS Feeds section of the Options dialog
