Add events to a UML model

Add events to a UML model

  1. In the tree view, double-click the icon that represents the package you want to add events to.

Note: If the tree view isn't visible, point to View on the UML menu, and then click Model Explorer.

  2. In the UML Package Properties dialog box, click Events.

  3. Click New, choose the type of event you want to add, and then click OK.

The appropriate event properties dialog box opens.

  4. Type or choose the event properties you want, and then click OK.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you've added all the events you want, and then click OK to close the UML Properties dialog box for the package.

The events you add to a package are available to other appropriate elements, such as action states, contained in the package.

Tip: You can also create new events by clicking Events on the UML menu. Select the package in which you want the event to be created, and click New.
