View another person's shared tasks
This feature requires you to use a Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, Exchange Server 2003, or Exchange Server 2007 account. Most home and personal accounts do not use Microsoft Exchange. For more information about Microsoft Exchange accounts and how to determine which version of Exchange your account connects to, see the links in the See Also section.
You can quickly view another person's shared tasks from the Navigation Pane. After you access another person's shared Task folder for the first time, it is added to the Navigation Pane. The next time you want to view the same person's shared Task folder, you can select it from the Navigation Pane.
-
In Tasks, click Open Shared Tasks.
-
To select a person's name from the address book, click Name or type the name in the Name box.
Note:
-
You can open only the default Microsoft Outlook Task folder, even if a person has created additional Task folders.
-
To remove a name from the Other Tasks list, right-click the name, and then click Remove from Other Tasks.
-
If you open another person's tasks by clicking Other User's Folder (on the File menu, point to Open), the person's name will be added to the Other Tasks list.
-
The abilities to see another person's tasks and to change the tasks are controlled by the owner of the tasks.
