Change the Outlook e-mail editor
The Microsoft Office Word 2007-based e-mail editor is the only e-mail editor provided in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. The Word 2007 editor is always enabled and cannot be disabled.
The Outlook editor is no longer available in Office Outlook 2007.
You do not have to have Office Word 2007 installed on your computer. The current editor is built into Outlook 2007, and many Word 2007 features and commands are fully integrated into the editor.
Note: If you have Word 2007 installed on your computer, additional features and commands are available.
For a list of features and commands, see Using Outlook 2007 with or without Word 2007 installed.
What is missing from the new e-mail editor?
Some functionality from earlier versions of the e-mail editor is no longer available, including animated .gifs, embedded flash objects, and some advanced HTML and CSS formatting. You can use your Web browser to search the Web to find information about alternative ways to reproduce some of this functionality.
