Learn more about work hours in Outlook

Outlook is the keeper of your standard work week days and work hours. Skype for Business and Lync can use this information and, if you choose, forward any phone calls you receive during these work hours to your alternate phone number. You might want to do this if you are traveling or will be away from your desk for a long period of time.

  • In the Call Forwarding – Time Setting window, select either All the time, or During work hours set in Outlook.

To change your work days and work times in Outlook, do the following:

  1. In your Outlook calendar, click the File tab, then Options>Calendar.

  2. Under Work time, choose the Start time and End time, of your work day.

  3. Select the days of the week that you work, and clear the days that are not a part of your work week.

  4. Choose the First day of the week, that you start working.

  5. To change the first week of the year, choose an option in the First week of year list.

  6. Click OK to confirm the changes.

For more information about call forwarding, see Set Call Forwarding options.
