Create (provision) a project workspace site
A project workspace site contains issues, risks, documents, and deliverables associated with an enterprise project. You can set up Microsoft Office Project Web Access so that each time a user creates a new project, an associated project workspace site is set up automatically. Or if you prefer, you can allow team members to manually create a project workspace site.
Enforce automatic creation of project workspace sites

On the Quick Launch, click Server Settings.

On the Server Settings page, click Project Workspace Provisioning Settings.

On the Project Workspace Provisioning Settings page, in the Site URL section, select the name of your Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 Web application in the Default Web application list, under which project workspace sites will be created.

In the Site URL box, type the name of the site collection under which the project workspace site will be created.

In the Default Workspaces Properties section, in the Default site template language list, select the language to use for the project workspace site.

Select a site template in the Default Project Workspace template list. This is the default template that is applied to all new project workspace sites.

In the Automatic Provisioning section, indicate whether project workspace sites should be automatically created for team members when projects are published or manually created by an administrator.
Note: If you choose to allow projects to be published without workspace sites and to allow workspace sites to be manually created, users cannot view the documents, issues, risks, or deliverables for each project until the Web site is created.

In the Workspace Permissions section, indicate if you want to automatically give Office Project Web Access users the permission to access the project workspace site after it is created. If you clear this check box, you will need to manually grant access permissions after the project workspace site is created.

Click Save.
Allow team members to manually create project workspace sites
Note: If you allow team members to manually create Web sites, they cannot view the documents, issues, risks, or deliverables for each project until the Web site is created.

On the Quick Launch, click Server Settings.

On the Server Settings page, click Project Workspaces.
A list of enterprise projects is displayed in the table on the Project Workspaces page.

To create a new project workspace site, select the project, and then click Create Site. If the Site Address column already contains a URL for a project workspace site (because of automatic workspace provisioning), you don't need to manually create a new URL.
In the Create Project Workspace dialog box, specify the default Web application and the site collection URL for the project workspace site.

To synchronize the users, permissions, and other access information, select the project that you want to update, and then click Synchronize to synchronize the user accounts in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and the user accounts in Office Project Server 2007.
Note: Permissions are synchronized when a project is first published. However, in the event that permissions are no longer synchronized (for example, when a team member can no longer see the issues that are associated with a project), click Synchronize.

To delete a workspace site, select the project whose workspace you want to delete, and then click Delete Site.
Note: To change other site settings for the selected project, such as the site title, click Go to Project Workspace Site Settings. On the Site Settings page, make your changes.
Why can't I perform some actions in Project Web Access?
Depending on the permissions settings you used to log on to Project Web Access, you may not be able to see or use certain features. Also, what you see on some pages may differ from what is documented if your server administrator customized Project Web Access and did not customize the Help to match.
