When you install Word, business card templates are automatically installed on your computer. In the Word Document Gallery, you can browse through these templates and open a new document that is based on any one of them.

Tip: To have Word automatically add personal contact information to the business cards, click Word > Preferences > User Information, and then type the information you want to include (for example, name, address, phone number).

  1. On the File menu, click New from Template.

  2. Under Templates, click Business Cards.

Tip: To quickly find all business card templates that are available through Office.com or on your computer, in the Word Document Gallery search box  Template Search field , type business card. Business card templates from Office.com will not automatically include personal user information added in preferences.

  3. Double-click the template that you want to use.

A new document that is based on the template appears.

  4. Click any placeholder text in the document, and then replace it with your own information.
