What can I use Microsoft Forms for?
Microsoft Forms is a simple, lightweight app that lets you easily create surveys, quizzes, and polls. In educational institutions, it can be used to create quizzes, collect feedback from teachers and parents, or plan class and staff activities. In business organizations, it can be used to collect customer feedback, measure employee satisfaction, improve your product or business, or organize company events.
Who can use Microsoft Forms?
Microsoft Forms is generally available in all Office 365 Education suite licensing: Office 365 Education, Office 365 Education Plus, and Office 365 Education E5, as well as existing customers who purchased E3 prior to its retirement.
Microsoft Forms is available in Preview in the following Office 365 commercial suites: Office 365 Business Essentials, Office 365 Business Premium, and Office 365 Enterprise E1, E3, and E5 plans. Microsoft Forms is also available to existing Office 365 Enterprise E4 customers who purchased E4 before its retirement.
Simply log in to http://forms.microsoft.com with your Office 365 school or work credentials, and you can start creating surveys, quizzes, and polls.
What does Preview mean for Office 365 commercial subscribers?
Microsoft Forms Preview for Office 365 commercial subscribers comes with the same features and service quality we currently deliver to our Office 365 education customers. As we tailor the experience for more commercial scenarios, we will move from being in Preview to Generally Available.
Can people without an Office 365 account still submit a survey or quiz on Microsoft Forms?
Microsoft Forms authors can toggle their settings to allow users outside of their organization to respond to their survey or quiz. In this case, users will be submitting responses anonymously. If you want to see who has filled out your survey or quiz, you can require respondents to fill in their names as part of your questionnaire.
What is the limit on the number of responses for Microsoft Forms?
You can receive up to 5,000 responses. If you require more, we recommend exporting existing responses to an Excel workbook, and then clearing these from your survey or quiz. This will enable you to collect more responses once cleared.
Can multiple people create a survey or quiz together?

Is there a Microsoft Forms mobile app?
Microsoft Forms is available to use on desktop and mobile browsers, ensuring a broad audience can respond to your survey or quiz without having to download a separate app.
Which web browsers does Microsoft Forms work with?
Microsoft Forms is optimized for Internet Explorer 10+, Edge, Chrome (latest version), Firefox (latest version), Chrome on Android (latest version), and Safari on iOS (latest version).

Where is data stored for Microsoft Forms?
Microsoft Forms data is stored on servers in the United States and Europe. All data is located in the United States, except for European-based tenants who started using Microsoft Forms after May 2017. Their data is stored on servers in Europe.
Is Microsoft Forms HIPAA and BAA compliant?
Microsoft Forms data follows the O365 Compliance Framework, and meets Compliance Category C as outlined in the framework.
Are FERPA and BAA protections in place?
Microsoft Forms meets FERPA and BAA protection standards.
Can Microsoft Forms be disabled?
Office 365 IT Administrators can turn off Microsoft Forms in the Office 365 Admin Center, under the User Management tab. See set up Microsoft Forms and enable and disable Microsoft Forms for more details.
Will Microsoft Forms replace Microsoft InfoPath?
No. Microsoft InfoPath was a solution to create customizable forms that can enable automated workflows, whereas Microsoft Forms is a basic, lightweight app for quickly collecting information via surveys and quizzes.

Where can I go to submit feedback such as product bugs or feature requests?
Navigate to the upper right corner of the Microsoft Forms window, choose More Options (...), and then select Feedback. You can also post feedback or vote on other customers' suggestions on the Microsoft Forms User Voice forum.
