Zoom in or out of notes in OneNote for Windows

Zoom in or out of notes in OneNote for Windows

By zooming in or out on a page in OneNote, you can temporarily change the size of what's on the page without messing up any formatting. If you have a touch screen, you can use your fingers to pinch and stretch the page. You can also enlarge or reduce the content of the page on the View menu. Here's how:

  1. On the page you want to zoom, do one of the following:

    • On the View tab, click Zoom In to magnify the current page and see a specific part of your notes up close.

    • On the View tab, click Zoom Out to shrink the current page and see more of your notes all at once.

  2. When you're done, click View > 100% to go back to the normal setting.

Tip:  You can click the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons multiple times in a row to get the exact magnification you want. If you're not happy with the levels that OneNote applies at each click of the buttons, you can tell OneNote a specific zoom level to use. Click View, click the Zoom dropdown next to the small magnifying glass, and then type over the percentage shown with your own value and press Enter.
