Insert files from cloud storage into OneNote for iPad or iPhone
You can insert files from your favorite cloud storage providers into your notes. This lets you keep all the necessary information for a project, a trip, or a class in one place — even at times when your connection to the cloud is interrupted.
To use this feature:
-
Your device must be running iOS 8 or later.
-
You must be signed into OneNote and have at least one notebook open.
-
You must have a cloud-based storage app installed on your device, such as OneDrive or Dropbox.
iPad
To insert a file, do the following:
-
In OneNote, tap Insert.
-
On the Insert menu, do one of the following:
-
To insert a document or file, tap File.
-
To insert a PDF (Portable Document Format) file, tap PDF Printout. This option converts the pages in a PDF file to images that will be placed in your notebook for easy viewing and annotating.
-
-
If your preferred cloud storage provider isn't already shown in the file browser list, tap Locations in the upper left corner, and then tap the provider you want to use. Storage providers will only appear in this list if you have installed their app on your device. (If you don't see your preferred app in the Locations list, tap More to enable it.)
-
Tap to select the file you want to insert.
iPhone
