You can apply a built-in stylized effect, such as grayscale, cyanotype, or sepia tone amongst others to a picture.
Note: This procedure does not apply to pictures that are in Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) format.

Select the picture you want to recolor.

On the Picture Tools toolbar, click Format , and then in the Adjust group, click Recolor.

Select any of the available options in the gallery.

Optionally, you can fine-tune the intensity of your color change by clicking Picture Color Options, or you can customize your own color by clicking More Variations > More Colors.
Restore a picture or object to its original colors

Select the picture whose original colors you want to restore.

On the Picture Tools toolbar, click Format
-
Click Recolor > Picture Color Options.

In the Format Picture dialog box, click Reset Color.

Click OK.

Select the picture you want to recolor.

On the Picture Tools toolbar, click Format , and then in the Adjust group, click Recolor.

Select any of the available options from Color Modes, Dark Variations, or Light Variations in the gallery.

Optionally, you can customize your own color by clicking More Variations.
Restore a picture or object to its original colors

Select the picture whose original colors you want to restore.

On the Picture Tools toolbar, click Format
-
Click Recolor > More Variations.

In the Recolor Picture dialog box, click Restore Original Colors.

Click OK.

Select the picture you want to recolor.

On the Picture toolbar, click Format Picture .

Click the Picture tab.
-
Click Recolor.

In the Recolor Picture dialog box, click the arrow next to Color, and then click the color you want or do one of the following:

To use a shade or tint, click Fill Effects, and then select the options you want.

To see more color choices, click More Colors, and then select the options you want.
Note: If you have set up your publication to use spot colors, More Colors will not be available.

Click OK twice.

On the Picture toolbar, click Format Picture .

Click the Picture tab.

Click Recolor.

In the Recolor Picture dialog box, click Restore Original Colors.
