Import ERwin ERX File dialog box

Imports PLATINUM ERwin 2.6, 3.0, and 3.52 .erx files and converts them to an IDEF1X data model.

The .erx format file is exportable from ERwin and contains information about a data model in text form.

The entities, attributes, relationships, categories, and text blocks are imported into a Microsoft Office Visio database model. ERwin domains are converted to portable data types when Visio has a database driver equivalent to an ERwin target server.

If Visio does not have an equivalent database driver, a warning message appears, and Visio maps the ERwin data type to a default data type instead.

Note: Visio does not import the following ERwin features: stored procedures, custom trigger code, and ERwin displays.
