Resize table columns and rows

On mobile devices, Word lets you take advantage of your touch screen for changing column width, row height, and the size of tables.

On your Android device or Windows tablet

Tap above a column or in front of a row, and then drag the handles to change the size of rows and columns. Drag the handle at the bottom of the table to change the size of the whole table.

On your iPad or iPhone

Tap above a column or in front of a row, and then drag the handles to change the size of rows and columns. Drag the handle at the bottom of the table to change the size of the whole table.
