Split body text between two slides

Split body text between two slides

Be nice to your audience — don't force them to read lots of text on your presentation slides.

To make your presentation more appealing to your audience, include only as much text on each slide as you need to make your point. When you have more body text on a single slide than you want, you can split the text between two slides.

  1. On the View tab, in the Presentation Views group, click Outline View.

  2. Position the cursor where you want to split the text (for example, at the end of a bulleted paragraph), and then press ENTER. PowerPoint creates a new slide with text beginning where you positioned your cursor.
