Deleting an identity

Earlier versions of SharePoint Workspace supported creating multiple identities in an account (depending on device policy). If you created additional identities in your account, you can still access those identities just as you did before.

You can delete an additional identity you have in your account. Keep in mind that deleting an identity also has the following results:

  • All workspaces and messages associated with that identity are also deleted. Thus, you will no longer see any of the identity's workspaces or messages in the Launchbar or Message History.

  • If the identity you delete is your account's default identity, SharePoint Workspace selects another identity as the new default.

    Note: You cannot delete an identity if it is the only one in the account.

To delete an identity:

  1. On the File tab, click Info, click Manage Account, and then click Account Preferences.

  2. Click the Identities tab.

  3. Select the identity you want to delete from the Identities drop-down menu.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Click Yes to confirm the action.
