Use this tab to configure the expansion of Exchange distribution groups. Distribution group expansion enables users to invite all or selected members of a distribution group to an instant messaging (IM) conversation without having to search for and add each one individually.
Internal URL
The URL identifying the location of the Web service that will enable distribution group expansion for internal clients. This URL should be hosted by the internal server running the Web Components. The Front End Server provides this address to clients as part of in-band provisioning.
External URL
The URL identifying the location of the Web service that will enable distribution group expansion for remote clients. This URL should be hosted by the reverse proxy in the perimeter network that points to the internal URL. The Front End Server provides this address to clients as part of in-band provisioning.
Enable Address Book query
Select this option to enable address book query for the users in your organization.
Enable distribution group expansion
Select this option to enable distribution group expansion for the users in your organization. If you elect to install the Communications Server Web Components during setup, this option is enabled by default.
Maximum group size
The maximum valid value is 1000. The default is 100.
