Copy a custom theme to another drawing

Note: Custom themes are not available in Visio 2013 and later versions.

1. Open the drawing that has the custom theme that you want to copy.

2. Select a shape with the custom theme applied.

3. Copy the drawing.

4. Open the drawing where you want to copy the custom theme to .

5. Paste the drawing. The custom theme is added to the Themes task pane.

6. You can now delete any shapes that are in the drawing you pasted.

Note: You cannot copy a theme from another Office program, such as PowerPoint or Word, to Visio. You also cannot copy a theme from Visio to another Office program.
