Locations

Use the Locations dialog box to specify which locations will be monitored by the Monitoring Server, and to view or edit custom or default thresholds that are used to control alerting for individual location endpoints. The custom and default thresholds are used by the Monitoring Server Management Pack to determine when alerts will be fired because of degraded media quality on network locations. If you are not using the Monitoring Server Management Pack for near real-time monitoring of media quality and performance counters are not being monitored, you do not need to make any configuration changes on this dialog box.

Locations

To view or modify the custom thresholds of each performance counter for a location, click a location, and then click Thresholds. To enable monitoring for a location endpoint, select the check box next to the location endpoint. To disable monitoring of a location endpoint, clear the check box.

Default Settings

To view or modify the default threshold settings for all location endpoints, click Default. These default settings will be used for all location endpoints that do not have custom thresholds.
