Edit Series

Use this option to include additional data series on the chart or to modify the name and values of existing data series without affecting the data on the worksheet.

Series name     Displays the cell or range that contains the name of the selected data series. In this box, type the name of the data series that you want to add or modify. The name that you type is not added to the worksheet. You can also click in the Series name box, and then select the range that you want to use on the worksheet. The Collapse Dialog button at the right end of this box temporarily minimizes and moves the dialog box so that you can select cells on the worksheet. To return to the entire dialog box, click this button again after you select the range.

Series values     Displays the values of the selected data series. Click in the Series values box, and then select the value on the worksheet. The Collapse Dialog button at the right end of this box temporarily minimizes and moves the dialog box so that you can select cells on the worksheet. To return to the entire dialog box, click this button again after you select the range.

Series X values     Displays the X values of the selected data series. Click in the Series X values box, and then select the X value on the worksheet. The Collapse Dialog button at the right end of this box temporarily minimizes and moves the dialog box so that you can select cells on the worksheet. To return to the entire dialog box, click this button again after you select the range. This option is only available for xy (scatter) and bubble charts.

Series Y values     Displays the Y values of the selected data series. Click in the Series Y values box, and then select the Y value on the worksheet. Series bubble size     Displays the values of the selected data series that are used for the size of the bubble. Click in the Series bubble size box, and then select the value on the worksheet. To return to the entire dialog box, click this button again after you select the range. This option is only available for xy (scatter) and bubble charts.
